Sergio Castiglione

An ongoing photographic series that rethinks the cityscape as a time-based construction. From a fixed viewpoint, the camera remains still for hours while the city changes—daylight fades, artificial light rises, traffic and weather rewrite the same scene. In post-production, selected moments are merged into one image and sliced into vertical segments, making time visible as structure.
Each work is titled as a precise record: airport code + start–end time + date + the day the photograph was taken — a way of anchoring a poetic image to real geography and lived duration. This code functions as a quiet caption, revealing where and when the work was made without interrupting its visual experience. Behind each image there is a specific city, a fixed point of view, and a measured span of time, transforming the title into both document and trace.
